Captain America Final Trailer Review

 

As The Marvel reset is in full swing, 2025 is going to kick up with the much anticipated Captain America: Brave New World.  After the events of Falcon and Winter Soldier, Sam Wilson has fully assumed the role of Captain America in a world that is not fully ready for him to BE Captain America.

The trailer mixes in the fact that Cap is working for President Thunderbolt Ross- played by Harrison Ford and some sort of attack by Isiah Bradley.... the OG Super Solider experimented on by the government.  The trailer gives off a Winter Soldier vibe and old school spy noir with Sam looking to solve the secrets of the terrorist attacks and not knowing who the real enemy is

The trailer ends with an appearance by the Red Hulk......

I have been a little hesitant about this movie- mostly because of the reactions of the so called Marvel fans as the under the hood racism of Sam being Cap has not been subtle.  I think they have done a good job of setting the table for Sam and this being a great jump off point for the MCU moving forward in 2025.  With Thunderbolts following a couple of months later and then Fantastic Four this summer, the new MCU is off to an interesting start.

Coming to theaters May, 2, 2025, The Thunderbolts drops into theaters reigniting the Free Comic Book Day/New Marvel Movie drop which had gone to the waste side since Covid.

The Thunderbolts brings together Yelena, Bucky, Red Guardian, John Walker, and Ghost under the orders of Elaine Benes LOL!

A big departure from the comics and more in line with the Suicide Squad from DC, the Thunderbolts sets the bridges the gap after Captain America and before Fantastic Four.  I am not 100% sure about this movie but am willing to give it shot!

DragonCon Parade 2024

 

I was able to piece together the entire DragonCon Parade 2024.  This year we were seated in the press area for the parade which was very nice and close to the action.  The parade itself is well over an hour but the wait for the parade to begin if you want a great spot to see is like a 3 hour wait.  So no wait for you.... sit back and enjoy this half hour supercut of one of DragonCons signature events!!
